PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Training Course

This training teaches how to properly assess equipment, learn regulations that are held to better the workplace, and provide the worker with the proper knowledge on PPE Care, assessment and judgement when working with PPE.

There are several types of PPE, including but not limited to:

  • 1

    Work Boots
On construction sites, workers are exposed to heavy machinery and equipment. Wearing steel-toe boots with non-slip soles helps prevent falls, especially in wet conditions, and protects your feet from falling objects or equipment running over them.

  • 2
    Hard Hats
A hard hat is crucial for protecting your head from accidental bumps, falling objects, or debris. In addition to physical protection, hard hats also provide electrical insulation to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • 3
    High-Visibility Clothing
High-vis clothing, often in bright fluorescent colors with reflective strips, helps workers remain visible and easily identifiable on the worksite, enhancing safety in areas with moving equipment or low light conditions.
  • 4
    Gloves
Gloves are essential for handling heat, chemicals, and sharp objects. They help protect against cuts, burns, and fractures. Ensure that gloves fit snugly and are free of damage, chemical residue, or burns, as these can compromise their protective effectiveness.
  • 5
    Ear Plugs
Ear plugs are necessary to protect against hearing loss in noisy environments, especially around machinery that produces high noise levels.
  • 6
    Goggles
Protective goggles are essential to shield your eyes from flying debris or hazardous materials. Always wear goggles when working with tools or machinery that could cause eye injury.
  • 7
    Masks
Masks are necessary for tasks where harmful dust, fumes, or chemicals are present. Different types of masks are designed for various roles, so selecting the right one ensures optimal protection from inhaling hazardous substances.

What you can expect during this course

During this training course, participants learn about the various types of personal protective equipment (PPE) and their proper use to safeguard against workplace hazards. The course covers how to select, wear, maintain, and inspect PPE like gloves, helmets, eye protection, and hearing protection, ensuring workers can protect themselves effectively in hazardous environments.

PPE training is essential for all workers in environments with potential hazards, including construction sites, factories, laboratories, and any other workplace where protective gear is necessary to ensure safety.
The course covers a wide range of PPE, including gloves, hard hats, high-visibility clothing, work boots, goggles, ear protection, and respiratory masks, along with their proper usage and maintenance.
PPE training should be completed initially and then refreshed annually or whenever new types of PPE are introduced, workplace conditions change, or new safety guidelines are implemented.
